Before you delete
Deletion cannot be undone. Once it is done, neither you nor we can bring your data back.
In plain words
- Deleting in the app erases your account and your data straight away.
- Profiles you manage for other people, such as a child or an elder, are erased with your account. They are not handed over to anyone.
- If you want a copy of your information first, ask us before you delete, or use Download a copy in the app where it is available.
- If you only want a break, signing out or uninstalling the app does not delete anything.
AIDr has no paid subscriptions to cancel at present. Deleting your AIDr account does not delete your Google or Apple account. If you signed in with Apple or Google, see Apple and Google sign-in for how to end that connection.
Delete in the app
This is the fastest way. The path to My Privacy differs slightly between iPhone and Android.
- Open AIDr and sign inUse the number or account you normally use.
- Open My PrivacyOn iPhone, open your profile and tap My Privacy. On Android, open your profile, tap Settings, then My Privacy.
- Scroll to the section called Your data and tap Delete my accountThe app asks “Delete your account?” and tells you what will go.
- ConfirmYour account and data are erased from our systems straight away and you are signed out.
Deletion of your records is designed to be all or nothing. If AIDr cannot erase everything in the database that it was asked to, it erases nothing and tells you so, rather than leaving you half deleted. Photos and other stored files are removed from storage straight after the main erase. If a file cannot be removed first time, we remove it in a follow-up clean-up, and we aim to do that within 30 days. If you want to be sure, write to the Grievance Officer and we will confirm.
Delete by email
If you cannot sign in, no longer have the app, or would rather write to us, email our Grievance Officer at info@doteventures.com with the subject AIDr account deletion request. Include the mobile number or email address on your AIDr account so we can find it.
To protect you, we may ask you to confirm that the account is yours before we delete it. We commit to completing the deletion within 30 days of receiving your request, and to confirming by email when it is done. Backup copies follow the limit under What is not erased, and why.
What is erased
Deleting your account permanently erases, from AIDr's systems:
- your account, profile and sign-in details, and your active sign-ins on every device;
- every report and prescription photo you uploaded, and the lab values and biomarkers read from them;
- your medicines, schedules and reminders, and your record of doses taken;
- your chats with Vidya, including saved transcripts of voice and video calls, and everything Vidya remembered about you;
- your emergency card and any Visit Briefs you created;
- your family and care circle, your sharing permissions, and the consent records and who-saw-what log that belong to you;
- any support or grievance records stored in the app against your account;
- the profiles you manage for other people, including children and elders, and their records;
- the email address and phone number we hold for your sign-in.
What is not erased, and why
For most people almost nothing of ours remains after deletion. These are the exceptions, and how long each can last:

Apple and Google sign-in
If you signed in to AIDr with Apple or Google, deleting your AIDr account erases the name, email address and sign-in record AIDr holds. It does not delete your Apple or Google account, and the link between your Apple ID or Google account and AIDr is kept by Apple or Google, not by AIDr. You can end that link yourself:
- Apple. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Sign-In & Security, then Sign in with Apple. Choose AIDr and tap Stop Using Apple ID.
- Google. In your Google Account, open the Security settings and find the list of third-party apps and services. Choose AIDr and remove its access.
Do this after you delete your AIDr account, or before if you prefer.

If something is wrong
If deletion does not complete, or you want to know what was and was not removed, write to our Grievance Officer. We commit to acknowledging within 24 hours with a reference number and to answering within 30 days.
