About these terms
In plain words
- AIDr is a health companion. It is not a doctor and it does not replace one.
- By using AIDr you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
- In an emergency, call 112 or 108 first. Do not wait for AIDr.
- Who we are. AIDr is a product of Dot eVentures Private Limited, whose registered address is 141 Prashasan Nagar, Jubilee Hills (“we”, “us”, “our”). “AIDr” is our brand.
- What these terms cover. They apply to the AIDr mobile apps for iOS and Android, the website at aidr.in, the Vidya companion, any shared pages or links that AIDr creates (such as a Visit Brief link), and any related feature we offer (together, the “Service”).
- How you accept. You accept these terms when you create an account, tick or tap to agree, or otherwise use the Service, whichever happens first. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
- Other documents. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and forms part of this agreement. The consent choices you make inside the app, and any notice shown to you at the time, also apply. If a feature has its own short terms, they apply to that feature, and if they conflict with these terms, the feature terms prevail for that feature only.
- Electronic record. These terms are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it. No physical or digital signature is needed for them to bind you.
- Defined words. “Vidya” is the AI companion inside AIDr. “Content” means anything you put into the Service, including voice, video, photographs of reports and prescriptions, typed messages, medicine and health details, and information about family members. “Managed profile” means a profile you create inside your account for another person, such as a child or an older relative. “Registered medical practitioner” has the meaning it has under Indian law.
Who can use AIDr
- Age. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and to accept these terms. If you are under 18, you may not create an account. A parent or legal guardian may instead set up a managed profile for you inside their own account.
- Capacity. You must be able to enter a binding contract under Indian law, and you must not be barred from using the Service by any law that applies to you.
- Mobile number. Sign-in uses a one-time password sent to an Indian mobile number (+91), or sign-in with Google or Apple where we offer it. You must be entitled to use the number or account you sign in with.
- Designed for India. The Service is designed for use in India. Emergency guidance, health information and any registered medical practitioner features are written with India in mind. We do not promise that the Service is suitable or lawful for use elsewhere.
- Managed profiles for children. You may create a managed profile for a person under 18 only if you are that person’s parent or legal guardian. When you do, you will be asked to declare that relationship, and you confirm that the declaration is true. A managed profile for a child is held inside your account, and you act on the child’s behalf. We record your declaration but we do not independently verify it, so you are responsible for its accuracy.
- Managed profiles for adults. You may create a managed profile for another adult, such as an older relative, only if that person has agreed, or you are their lawful guardian or are otherwise lawfully entitled to act for them. Where an adult is able to use AIDr themselves, they should have their own account.
- Accurate details. You agree to give accurate details when you sign up and to keep them reasonably up to date. Do not create an account or a managed profile by pretending to be someone else.
What AIDr is, and what it is not
In plain words
- AIDr helps you understand and organise health information for you and your family.
- Vidya is an AI. It helps you understand and organise health information, but it is not a doctor and does not replace one.
- AIDr is not for emergencies and cannot call for help for you.
What AIDr does
AIDr is a health companion for families. Depending on the features available to you and the choices you have made, the Service lets you:
- talk or type to Vidya, in English, Hindi or Telugu, and, where we offer it, in other languages;
- show Vidya a photograph of a lab report, a prescription or a medicine strip and have it explained in plain words;
- keep a record of reports, readings, medicines and schedules for yourself and for the people you manage;
- set medicine reminders that are shown on your own device;
- prepare a Visit Brief, a short summary meant for a registered medical practitioner to review, and share it by a link or code that you control;
- share selected information with family members, caregivers or doctors whom you choose, and take that sharing back; and
- store an emergency card for yourself or a person you manage.
Some features may be switched off, limited, or released in stages. A feature described here or elsewhere may not be available to you yet, and we may change or withdraw features as described in these terms.
What AIDr is not
- Not a doctor or a medical service. AIDr and Vidya are not a registered medical practitioner, hospital, clinic, laboratory, pharmacy or emergency service, and do not form a doctor–patient relationship with you.
- Not medical advice. Nothing in the Service is medical advice, treatment, or a clinical opinion. Vidya does not tell you what condition you have, does not name a condition as settled fact, and does not make a medical determination about you or anyone else, including from photographs, audio or video.
- Not a prescriber. Vidya does not prescribe medicine, does not give a dose, and does not tell you to start, stop or change a prescription-only medicine. Vidya may explain what a medicine is generally used for, and may mention ordinary self-care. That is general information, not an instruction for your situation.
- Not an emergency service. AIDr does not monitor you, and it does not contact an ambulance, a hospital, or your family for you. Reminders, alerts and emergency prompts are aids only.
- Not a substitute for judgement. AIDr is not a replacement for your own judgement, for the advice of your own doctor, or for the instructions on a prescription or a medicine label.
Health information and your responsibility
If you think you or someone near you is having a medical emergency, call 112 or 108 now. Do not wait for a reply from AIDr, and do not rely on AIDr to notice an emergency.
- Seek professional care. Always speak to a registered medical practitioner about any medical condition, symptom, test result, or medicine, and before you act on anything the Service tells you. Never delay, skip or stop professional care, or ignore professional advice, because of something you read or heard in AIDr.
- Emergency prompts are a safety net, not a guarantee. Vidya is built to tell you to call 108 when you describe signs of an emergency, and the Service has an extra automatic check for such words in several languages. These checks can miss an emergency and can also trigger when there is none. They are not clinically certified and you must not depend on them.
- Your own decisions. Decisions about your health, and about the health of people in your care, are yours and your doctor’s. You are responsible for how you use the information the Service gives you.
- Check what you enter. The Service works from what you tell it and show it. If a photograph is unclear, a value is mistyped, or a detail is missing, what comes back may be wrong. Please check results against your original report, prescription or medicine label, and ask your doctor or pharmacist if anything is unclear.
- Reference ranges. A range shown beside a result is, where possible, the range printed on your own report. Ranges differ between laboratories, ages and individuals. A reading outside a range is not by itself a sign of illness, and a reading inside it is not by itself a sign of health.
- Medicine reminders. Reminders are produced on your own device. They can fail to appear if your device is switched off, in a power-saving mode, has notifications blocked, or has the wrong date or time. Do not rely on a reminder as the only way to take essential medicine on time.
- Medicine information. Information about a medicine, including what it is generally used for, and any general answer about how two medicines may interact, is not a complete or personal safety check. The Service does not issue automatic interaction alerts. Always check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking, combining, or stopping a medicine.
- People in your care. If you use AIDr for a child or an older relative, you remain responsible for their care. Seek professional help for them as you would without AIDr.
- Mental health. If you or someone you know is thinking of self-harm, please contact emergency services or a trained professional straight away. AIDr is not a crisis service.
Limits of AI output
- Vidya is an AI. Vidya is an artificial intelligence system, not a human being. It helps you understand and organise health information, but it is not a doctor and does not replace one. Replies are generated, not looked up from a verified source for you.
- Vidya can be wrong. AI can state something incorrect or incomplete in a confident tone, can misread a photograph or mishear speech, can misunderstand what you say or write, and can give different answers to the same question. We build safeguards, but we cannot promise that any particular answer is accurate, complete, current or suitable for you.
- Languages. The app is available in English, Hindi and Telugu. Vidya can respond in more languages, but quality varies between languages, and translations of medical words can be imperfect.
- Memory. If you allow it, Vidya may keep short facts you have shared so that you need not repeat them. What Vidya keeps can be wrong or out of date. You can withdraw the consent for memory in the app under My Privacy (on iPhone, from your profile; on Android, from your profile, then Settings). If you say no, the memory feature stays off and the rest of AIDr keeps working.
- Calls and recordings. Voice and video conversations with Vidya are streamed to an AI service while they take place. See the Privacy Policy for what is kept. Do not start a call where others may overhear you if you would not want them to.
- No guarantee of outcome. We do not promise that using the Service will improve your health, prevent illness, or detect any condition.
- Reporting a problem. If an answer seems unsafe or wrong, please tell us at info@doteventures.com with “Safety issue” in the subject. Please leave out names and other personal details in what you send, unless we ask for them.
Your account and sign-in
- Keep your sign-in safe. You are responsible for your mobile number, your device, your one-time passwords, your Google or Apple account, and anything done under your account. Keep your device locked, and tell us promptly at info@doteventures.com if you think someone else has got into your account.
- Never share a one-time password. AIDr will never ask you for your one-time password, by call, message, email or in a chat. If someone asks you for it in our name, do not give it.
- One person, one account. Your account is for you. Do not sell, rent, lend or transfer it. If you need to look after someone else’s health records, use a managed profile or the sharing features, so that each person’s information stays properly separate.
- Changing your number. If you lose or change your mobile number, use the change-number or recovery options in the app. We may ask you to prove it is you before we change the number linked to an account, to protect against takeover.
- Messages we send. We may send you one-time passwords, service messages, and invitations you ask us to send, by SMS, WhatsApp or email. Your mobile operator or data provider may charge for these. We do not send you advertising by these channels unless you have agreed to receive it.
- Your device and connection. You are responsible for having a compatible device, network access and an up-to-date version of the app. Some features, including calls with Vidya, need a good internet connection and the camera, microphone or photo permissions that you grant.
Your content and our licence to use it
- You own your content. As between you and us, you keep all rights you have in your Content. We do not claim ownership of your reports, records, photographs, voice or messages.
- Licence to operate the Service. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence, for as long as your Content is in the Service, to host, store, copy, transmit, process and display your Content, and to pass it to the service providers named in our Privacy Policy, solely so that we can provide, secure and support the Service for you and as you direct. The licence is limited to operating the Service for you, to the purposes in the Privacy Policy, and to the consents you have given. It does not let us use your Content for any other purpose. It ends when you delete the Content or your account, subject to Deleting your account and the law.
- No sale, no advertising. We do not sell your Content, and we do not use it to show you advertising.
- Training. We do not use your Content to train artificial intelligence models without your separate and specific consent.
- Your promises about your content. You confirm that you have the rights needed to give us your Content and the licence above, and that your Content, and our use of it as these terms allow, does not break any law or anyone’s rights.
- Backups and copies. You should keep your own copy of any record that matters to you, such as the original report or prescription. The Service is not designed to be the only place a record is kept.
- Removal. We may remove or restrict Content, or block access to it, if we reasonably believe it breaks these terms or the law, or if we are required to by a court or an authority. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service lawfully, fairly and in good faith. You must not, and must not help anyone to:
- use the Service to harm, threaten, harass, defame, stalk, abuse or exploit anyone, or to track or monitor a person without their knowledge or lawful authority;
- upload, share or send anything that is unlawful, obscene, pornographic, invasive of another’s privacy, hateful, or harmful to children, or that infringes another person’s rights, including copyright or trademark;
- impersonate any person or entity, falsely claim to be a registered medical practitioner, or misstate your relationship to a person whose profile you manage;
- give a false guardian declaration, or create a managed profile for a person under 18 when you are not their parent or legal guardian;
- deceive or mislead anyone about where a message, report or record came from, or alter a report or prescription so that it appears to be something it is not;
- use the Service for anything that threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with foreign states, or public order, or that incites an offence;
- use the Service to commit or encourage fraud, including insurance or benefit fraud, or to obtain or supply prescription medicines unlawfully;
- upload viruses or code meant to damage, interfere with or take control of any system, device or data;
- probe, scan or test the Service for weaknesses, or bypass authentication, rate limits, consent checks, or other safeguards, other than under a written agreement with us;
- access the Service by automated means such as bots or scrapers, or copy or harvest data from it, except as we expressly allow;
- reverse engineer, decompile or try to extract source code, prompts, models or keys, except to the extent that the law allows you to despite this restriction;
- try to make Vidya ignore its safety rules, give a dose, prescribe, or produce harmful content, or use the Service to build a competing product or to train another AI model;
- resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the Service, or use it to provide medical services to others as a business, without our written agreement; or
- interfere with other users’ use of the Service or place an unreasonable load on it.
We may investigate suspected breaches and may take the steps set out in Suspension and termination. Where the law requires, we will report unlawful activity to the authorities.
Third-party services and app stores
- Services we rely on. The Service is delivered with the help of other companies, such as providers of cloud hosting, AI models, messaging and email. They are listed in the Privacy Policy. If we ever switch on paid features, a regulated payment processor will also be involved, and we will update the Privacy Policy to name it before any payment is taken. Their services are provided under their own terms, and they can suffer outages or change. We are responsible to you for how we use them, but we do not control them and cannot promise that they will always be available.
- Sign-in with Google or Apple. If you sign in with Google or Apple, that sign-in is governed by their terms and privacy policies as well as ours.
- Links. The Service may link to websites or services that we do not run. We do not control them and are not responsible for them.
- Apple App Store. If you download the iOS app from the Apple App Store, you and we acknowledge that these terms are between you and us only, and not with Apple Inc. (“Apple”). We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the app and its content. The licence we give you for the iOS app is limited to use on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as the Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service permit. We, not Apple, are responsible for providing any maintenance and support for the app, and Apple has no obligation to provide any. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any; to the maximum extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app, and any other claim, loss, liability, damage, cost or expense caused by a failure to conform to a warranty is our responsibility. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claim by you or anyone else about the app or your possession and use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and consumer protection, privacy or similar claims. If a third party claims that the app or your use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You must follow applicable third-party terms when using the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms as they apply to the iOS app, and once you accept these terms Apple will have the right (and will be taken to have accepted the right) to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary. Questions, complaints or claims about the iOS app can be sent to us using the details in Contact.
- Google Play. If you download the Android app from Google Play, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. These terms are between you and us only. Google LLC and its affiliates (“Google”) are not a party to them, and we, not Google, are responsible for the app, its support and any claim about it. Google and its affiliates are third-party beneficiaries of the provisions of these terms that limit or exclude liability and protect their rights in the Android app, and may enforce those provisions against you, to the extent the law allows.
- Licence to use the app. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own personal and family use, and to use the website, in line with these terms. All other rights are reserved.
Payments, refunds and taxes
In plain words
- At the time of writing, AIDr has no paid plan, no subscription and no in-app purchase.
- If we add anything paid, we will show the price and the refund terms in the app before you pay.
- Free at launch. As of the effective date of these terms, the Service is offered without charge. There is no subscription, and no in-app purchase is offered. Nothing in these terms obliges you to pay us anything for the Service as it now stands.
- Paid features in future. We may introduce paid features later, for example optional services delivered together with independent registered medical practitioners. We reserve the right to do so. We will not charge you for anything unless the price, what you get, any taxes, and the refund and cancellation terms for that feature have been shown to you in the app before you pay, and you have chosen to go ahead. Charges are in Indian rupees unless the app shows otherwise.
- Payment processing. If payments are switched on, they will be handled by a regulated payment provider, which we will name in the Privacy Policy before any payment is taken, or by Apple or Google for purchases made through their stores. We do not store your full card details. Every payment is subject to the provider’s terms and to authorisation by your bank or card issuer.
- Confirmation. A paid benefit is switched on only after the payment is confirmed by the provider to us. If a payment goes through but the benefit does not appear, write to us and we will look into it promptly and put it right, by correcting it or by refunding you as the terms for that feature and the law provide.
- Taxes. Prices shown will state whether taxes, including GST where it applies, are included. You are responsible for any other taxes or duties that the law places on you.
- Refunds. We will set out the refund terms for each paid feature before you pay, and we will follow them. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are also subject to Apple’s and Google’s refund rules, and you may request a refund from them directly. Where you have paid and a paid service is not delivered, or is delivered in a way that does not match what we promised, you can ask for a refund as set out for that feature. Nothing in this section limits any refund or other right that you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other law. Refunds are returned to the original payment method, and it can take a few working days to reach your account.
- Doctor services. If registered medical practitioners offer services through AIDr in future, they act as independent professionals. We do not employ them or direct their clinical judgement, and the advice is theirs.
- Changes to price. We may change prices for paid features for the future with notice in the app. A change does not affect what you have already paid for.
- Records. If payments are ever switched on, we may have to keep certain payment records for the period that tax and financial laws require. The Privacy Policy explains how, and we will update it before any payment is taken.
Intellectual property
- Ours. The Service, including the software, design, text, graphics, the Vidya persona and voice, the Star symbol, and the names AIDr and Vidya, belong to Dot eVentures Private Limited or its licensors, and are protected by Indian and international intellectual property laws. Except for the licence in Third-party services and app stores, these terms give you no rights in them.
- Brand use. You may not use the AIDr or Vidya names, logos or symbol in a way that suggests we endorse you, or in a domain name, an app name or a business name, without our written permission.
- Your content stays yours. Our rights in the Service do not give us ownership of your Content. See Your content and our licence to use it.
- Third-party material. The Service may include open-source software and third-party material that comes with its own licence terms, which apply to that material.
- Infringement claims. If you believe that something in the Service infringes your copyright or other rights, please write to the Grievance Officer at the address in Contact, giving the details needed to identify the work and the material, and your contact details.
Feedback
If you send us suggestions, ideas or comments about the Service (“Feedback”), you agree that we may use them without any obligation to you, and without payment, and that you will not claim rights in what we build because of them. This does not give us rights in your health information or other personal information, which remain governed by the Privacy Policy. Please do not put health information about yourself or others in Feedback.
Suspension and termination
- You may stop at any time. You can stop using the Service and delete your account whenever you wish. See Deleting your account.
- We may suspend or end access. We may suspend, restrict or end your access to all or part of the Service if: you materially or repeatedly break these terms; you give false information, including a false guardian declaration; your use puts a person, the Service or others at risk or may be unlawful; we are required to by law, a court or an authority; or you have not used the Service for a long period and we give you reasonable notice. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put things right, and where an account is ended, we will give you a reasonable opportunity to retrieve your records first, unless the law or a safety concern prevents it.
- We may change or end the Service. We may change, pause or stop any feature, or the whole Service, for business, legal, security or technical reasons. If we stop the Service altogether, we will give you reasonable notice in the app and on aidr.in, and a reasonable chance to retrieve your records. Where you have paid for something we then do not deliver, we will refund or credit the unused part in line with the terms shown for that feature and as the law requires.
- What survives. When your access ends, the provisions that by their nature should continue, such as those on intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, governing law and dispute resolution, continue to apply.
Deleting your account
- How to delete. You can delete your account inside the app: go to My Privacy (on iPhone, from your profile; on Android, from your profile, then Settings), then Your data, then choose Delete my account. If you cannot reach the app, follow the steps on the Delete your account page, or write to info@doteventures.com. A request by email will be completed within 30 days, after we have checked it is you.
- What happens. Deletion removes your profile, your conversations, memories, documents, reminders, family and consent records and your sign-in from our systems, and removes your stored images. Stored files are removed after the database step, and if a stored file cannot be removed at once, we retry the removal.
- It cannot be undone. Deletion is permanent. We cannot restore an account or its records after it has been deleted.
- Managed profiles go too. Deleting your account also deletes every managed profile that you created and that is held in your account, because those profiles belong to your account. Make sure that a person you care for has what they need before you delete.
- What others keep. Deletion does not delete copies that other people already have, such as something a family member or doctor has saved or printed, or a Visit Brief that someone has downloaded.
- What the law may require us to keep. We may keep limited information that the law requires or allows us to keep, such as payment and tax records (if payments are ever switched on) and a record needed to meet a legal obligation or to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim. The Privacy Policy explains what we keep and why.
- Backups. Copies in backups made by our providers may continue to exist for a limited time after deletion before they are overwritten in the ordinary course, within 35 days of deletion at the outside. We do not use them to restore your data for any other use.
Disclaimer of warranties
- As is. To the fullest extent that the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not give any warranty or promise, whether express or implied, including any about accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or free from errors, delays or defects.
- Health content. In particular, we do not warrant that any information given by Vidya or shown in the Service is accurate, complete, current or suitable for your situation, or that any reminder, alert or emergency prompt will be delivered or will work.
- Security. We use reasonable measures to protect the Service and your information, which are described in the Privacy Policy. No system is completely secure, and we do not promise that unauthorised access will never occur.
- Your legal rights. Nothing in this section removes or limits any right that you have as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other law that cannot be excluded by agreement.
Limitation of liability
In plain words
- We are responsible for our own fault, and for anything the law does not let us exclude.
- We are not responsible for the decisions you make on the basis of general health information, or for harm we could not reasonably have foreseen, except to the extent our own fault caused it.
- Nothing here limits your rights as a consumer under Indian law.
- What we do not limit. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Nothing in these terms takes away a right or remedy that you have as a consumer and that the law does not allow to be waived or limited by agreement.
- Exclusion of certain losses. Subject to the point above, and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable to you for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for loss of profit, income, business or goodwill, arising from or connected with the Service, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise. This does not limit our responsibility to take reasonable security safeguards for your personal data, or to meet our other duties under the Privacy Policy and the law.
- Reliance on health information. Subject to the first point, and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for harm that results from your choosing to rely on general information or an AI-generated reply in place of professional medical care, from your failure to seek, or your delay in seeking, such care, or from your failure to act on a prompt to call emergency services, except to the extent that the harm is caused by our own negligence or by our breach of these terms.
- Others’ conduct. We are not liable for what any family member, caregiver, doctor or other person you share with, or any third-party provider, does with your information or how they act, except where the law makes us responsible, and except to the extent we have not met our own duties to you.
- Extent of our liability. Subject to the first point, and to the extent permitted by law, where we are liable to you our liability is limited to the loss that was a reasonably foreseeable result of our breach or fault. We do not set any further fixed cap on that liability in these terms.
Indemnity
If a third party brings a claim against us because you wilfully or fraudulently broke these terms, for example by giving a false guardian declaration or false statement of your authority over a managed profile, or by sharing another person’s information knowing that you had no right to, you agree, to the extent permitted by law, to reimburse our reasonable losses and reasonable legal costs arising from that claim. We will tell you promptly of any such claim and will let you take part in dealing with it, though we may take reasonable steps to protect ourselves in the meantime. This section does not apply to the extent that a loss is caused by our own breach, negligence or wilful act, does not apply to anything you did in good faith, and does not take away any consumer right that cannot be waived by agreement.
Events beyond our control
Neither of us is liable for a failure or delay in carrying out these terms (other than a duty to pay money already due) if it is caused by an event beyond that party’s reasonable control. That includes natural disaster, fire, flood, epidemic, war, riot, civil unrest, acts of government or regulators, changes in law, strikes, failure or outage of power, telecommunications or internet networks, failure or outage of cloud, AI, messaging or payment providers on which the Service relies, and cyber-attacks that could not have been prevented by reasonable measures. The affected party will take reasonable steps to limit the effect and to resume performance. Because the Service cannot respond to an emergency, an outage must never be a reason for delaying a call to emergency services.
Grievance redressal
- Who to write to. If you have a complaint or a concern about the Service, about content, about these terms, about your personal data, or about a payment, please write to our Grievance Officer.
- Name
- MN Reddy, Grievance Officer
- Entity
- Dot eVentures Private Limited
- Address
- 141 Prashasan Nagar, Jubilee Hills
- info@doteventures.com
- What to include. Please give your name, how to reach you, the number or account you use, and a clear description of the problem. If it is about particular content, please say where it is and why you object to it. Please do not send health reports or identity documents unless we ask for them.
- How we respond. We commit to acknowledging your complaint within 24 hours of receiving it, and to resolving it, with a reasoned reply, within 15 days of receiving it where the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 apply, and in any case within 30 days. If we need something from you, for example to confirm that it is you, we will tell you what we need and when you can expect an answer. Where the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, or another law sets a shorter time for a particular kind of complaint, we will follow the shorter time. A request to use a right over your personal data, and a complaint about personal data, are also handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
- Intermediary rules. To the extent that the Service acts as an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000, for example when it carries information that one user shares with another, we follow the due-diligence duties that the Act and the Rules put on intermediaries, including publishing these rules and our privacy policy, acting on valid orders from courts and government authorities, and not hosting or sharing the kinds of information listed in Acceptable use. We commit to telling users, at least once every year, about these terms, the Privacy Policy, and the rules for using the Service, and about our right to suspend or end access and to remove non-compliant content, by a notice in the app or a message to the contact details linked to your account.
- E-commerce rules. If paid features are ever switched on, and to the extent the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 apply to something you buy through the Service, the Grievance Officer named above is also the grievance officer for that purpose.
- Other routes. This process does not take away any right you have to approach the Data Protection Board of India, a Consumer Commission, a court, or any other authority that the law gives you access to. For consumer complaints, you may also contact the National Consumer Helpline.
Governing law and disputes
In plain words
- Indian law applies. Please write to us first so that we can try to put things right.
- If that fails, disputes go to arbitration in India, in English, before one arbitrator.
- Your right to go to a Consumer Commission where the law gives you one is not taken away.
- Governing law. These terms, and any dispute arising from or connected with them or the Service, are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
- Talk first. Before starting arbitration or a court case, the party with a dispute must send written notice to the other, describing the dispute and what is asked for. For us, the notice goes to the Grievance Officer at the address in Contact. The parties will try in good faith to settle the dispute within 30 days of that notice.
- Arbitration. If the dispute is not settled within that time, it will be finally resolved by arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, including any amendment or re-enactment in force. The seat and venue of arbitration will be a city in India agreed by the parties, failing which the city of our registered office. The language of the arbitration will be English. There will be one arbitrator, appointed by agreement between the parties, and failing agreement within 30 days of a request, appointed as the Act provides. The award is final and binding and may be enforced in any court with jurisdiction. The parties will keep the arbitration and its outcome confidential, except as needed to enforce the award or as the law requires.
- Courts. Subject to the arbitration clause and the consumer rights below, the courts having jurisdiction over our registered office in India have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or connected with these terms or the Service, including to grant interim relief, to support the arbitration, and to enforce an award.
- Consumer rights preserved. If you are a consumer within the meaning of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, nothing in this section prevents you from bringing a complaint before a Consumer Commission or any other forum that the law gives you access to, or from relying on any right that cannot be waived by agreement. Where a mandatory provision of law gives you a right to sue or complain in the place where you live, that right is not affected.
General terms
- Severability. If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court or arbitrator, it will be applied to the extent it can be, and the remaining provisions continue in full force.
- Entire agreement. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any feature terms or notices that we show you, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service and replace any earlier understanding about it.
- No waiver. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up. A waiver is effective only if it is in writing.
- Assignment. You may not transfer your rights or duties under these terms without our written consent. We may transfer ours to a company that takes over the Service, or to a group company, if your rights under these terms and the Privacy Policy are not reduced. We will tell you if your personal data moves to a new owner.

- Notices to us. Please write to the Grievance Officer at the address and email in Contact. We may ask you to send a copy of a formal notice by post as well.
- Language. These terms are written in English. If we provide a translation for convenience, the English version prevails if there is any difference.
- Headings. Headings and the plain-words boxes are there to help you. They do not change the meaning of the terms.
Changes to these terms
- How we change them. We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect a new feature, a change in law, or the way we work. The effective date and version are shown at the top of this page, and earlier versions are listed in Version history.
- Notice. For a material change, we will give you at least 15 days’ notice before it takes effect, in the app and on this page, unless the change is needed sooner to meet a legal requirement, to deal with a security risk, or to add a feature that makes no difference to your existing rights.
- If you do not agree. If you do not accept a change, you may stop using the Service and delete your account before the change takes effect. If you carry on using the Service afterwards, you accept the updated terms. Where the law requires fresh consent, for example for how we use your personal data, we will ask for it and will not treat continued use as consent.
- Paid features. A change will not make you pay for anything you have already received for free without your agreeing to it at the time, in the app.
